As a user with the Advanced Social Search permission, you can find the WhatsApp messages that a content policy deleted at the source. Jatheon Cloud keeps the archived copy and marks it Deleted by Policy, so you can tell it apart from messages a user deleted or edited. To set up a policy, see How to Create a Content Policy for WhatsApp.

Search for messages deleted by a policy

  1. Go to the Search section and click the Social tab.
  2. Click Choose Account(s) and select your WhatsApp accounts, for example All WhatsApp Accounts.
  3. Set the date Range you want to search.
  4. In the field dropdown, select Status.
  5. In the condition dropdown, select Deleted by Policy. The other options are Is Deleted (messages deleted by a user) and Is Modified (edited messages).
  6. Click Search.

Status conditions

The results list only the messages that a content policy deleted at the source. Each result shows the tag of the policy it matched, for example Sensitive Content.

View a deleted message

Click a result to open the conversation on the right. The deleted message is marked DELETED BY POLICY.

Message deleted by a content policy

Please note that if a policy matched a message but the deletion at the source didn't complete, the message is marked POLICY DELETE FAILED instead. See the audit log for details.

To narrow the results, combine Status with other criteria. Click + Add Field to add a condition that must also match, or Add Block to add another group of conditions, where either group can match. See How to Search for Social Media Content.
