As a user with the Search audit logs permission, you can find the events Jatheon Cloud records when a content policy matches or deletes a WhatsApp message, so you have a compliance trail of what was removed and why.
The events are recorded when the policy's Record audit events reaction is on. It's always on when Delete from source platform is on. See How to Create a Content Policy for WhatsApp.
Search for content policy events
- Go to the Audit section.
- Open the users dropdown (Select Users) and select System. Content policy events are recorded by the system, not by a user, so they aren't shown if you select only specific users.
- Open the actions dropdown (No action selected), type content policy, and select the events you want:
- Content policy matched a message
- Content policy match blocked by legal hold
- Content policy delete skipped (deletion window closed)
- Content policy delete succeeded
- Content policy delete failed
- Set the date range. By default, it's the last 7 days.
- Click Search.
Please note that Search is available only after you select at least one user and one action.
View an event's details
- Click an event to open Audit Log Details.
- Under Description, you'll see which content policy matched or deleted which message, and when.
- Click Link to item to open the message in the Search section. A message deleted by a policy is marked DELETED BY POLICY in the conversation.
To find these messages in Search directly, see How to Find WhatsApp Messages Deleted by a Content Policy.
Export the events
- Click Export above the results.
- Select CSV or PDF.
- Click Export Audit Logs.
All events that match your filters are exported. Please note that you need the Export audit log permission to export.
