As an Account Admin, or a user with the Manage Company Settings permission, you can connect your Slack workspace to Jatheon Cloud, so its messages, threads and attachments are archived and can be searched alongside the rest of your data.

Connect your Slack workspace

1. Click your initials in the top right corner and select Company Settings.
2. Open the Connectors tab.
3. Hover over the Slack card and click +.

4. In the Select Slack Admin window, click Select Admin and choose your Slack admin from your company's users. To find them faster, type the start of their email address in Filter list....
5. Leave Get historical data on to also archive messages sent before the connection, or turn it off to archive only new messages.
6. Click Continue.

7. In the Data will be saved window, choose where to keep the archived data:
   • On Jatheon — in your Jatheon Cloud archive (selected by default)
   • Send via S3 — to your Amazon S3 bucket. Enter a Label, Region, Bucket Name, Access Key and Secret Key.
   • Send via SMTP — to an existing system by email. Enter a Label and the Forward Emails address.
8. Click Save Changes.

You'll see a confirmation message: Setup email successfully sent. Your Slack admin receives an email and needs to approve Jatheon's access to the Slack workspace.

Please note that if you don't have the Manage Company Settings permission, the button reads Select and Send Email, and the email is sent right away, without the Data will be saved step.

Check the connection status

Click the Slack card to see your Slack connections below the cards, with their Status, URL, Admin Email, Date Connected, Storage (GB) and Outbound settings.

• Pending — waiting for your Slack admin to approve access. Click Resend Email to send the email again, or open the More menu (represented with ...) and select Delete to remove the request.
• Active — the workspace is connected and its data is being archived.
• Disconnected — the workspace is no longer being archived.
