How to View Content Policy Events in the Audit Log

When a WhatsApp message is detected and deleted by a Content Policy (see How to Create a Content Policy for WhatsApp), Jatheon Cloud can record the event in the Audit Log so you have a compliance trail of what was removed and why — this requires the Record audit events reaction to be enabled on the policy.

Because these events are generated by the system rather than performed by a specific user, they won't show up if your Audit search is scoped to particular users only. To see them:

  1. Log into Jatheon Cloud with Compliance Officer (or Account Admin) privileges and navigate to the Audit section.
  2. In the Actions dropdown, make sure System actions are included in your selection — Content Policy events are system-generated, so they're filtered out if you narrow the Actions list down to specific user-performed actions only.
  3. Set the Date Range and any other filters you need, then click Search.

Matching entries appear in the results list like any other audit record. Click one to see its details — this includes which policy was hit, the affected message, and whether the deletion succeeded or failed.

As with any other audit search, results can be exported via the Export button.
