How to Use the Clipboard in cCore
Affected software version: cCore 4
Note: If you are using an earlier version of cCore, please refer to the legacy Clipboard article .
The Clipboard feature allows users to temporarily collect messages from multiple searches and store them in a single location for further processing.
This is particularly useful when you need to work with messages originating from different searches, date ranges, custodians, or keywords. Instead of exporting or tagging messages one search at a time, you can add selected messages to the Clipboard and then perform actions on the entire collection.
Messages stored in the Clipboard can be managed using the same actions available in Search Results, including:
- Export
- Download
- Restore
- Forward
- Apply Tag
- Remove Tag
- Redact
The Clipboard acts as a temporary working area where messages from multiple searches can be gathered before performing bulk operations.
Step 1: Search for Messages
Perform a search and locate the messages you want to save to the Clipboard. Select one or more messages using the checkboxes next to each item.
Step 2: Add Messages to the Clipboard
After selecting the desired messages, click Add to Clipboard from the toolbar.
The selected messages will be copied to the Clipboard and remain available even if you perform additional searches.
Step 3: Repeat for Additional Searches
Run another search and select additional messages. Click Add to Clipboard again to add the newly selected messages to the existing Clipboard collection.
You can repeat this process as many times as necessary, allowing you to build a collection of messages gathered from multiple independent searches.
Step 4: Open the Clipboard
Click Clipboard from the left navigation menu.
The Clipboard displays all messages that have been added from previous searches.
Step 5: Perform Actions on Clipboard Messages
Once messages are stored in the Clipboard, select the desired items and use the available toolbar actions.
The same actions available in Search Results can be performed directly from the Clipboard, including exporting messages, applying tags, removing tags, redacting content, restoring messages, and other supported operations.
When to Use the Clipboard
- Collecting messages from multiple searches for a single export.
- Preparing messages for review before applying tags.
- Gathering evidence for investigations or compliance requests.
- Exporting messages that belong to different custodians or date ranges.
- Building a collection of messages before applying bulk actions.
Using the Clipboard eliminates the need to repeat the same operation across multiple searches and provides a convenient way to manage messages from a centralized location.
