If Liya, Jatheon's AI assistant, is enabled for your organization, you can ask it questions about a single email or social media conversation, or about its attachments.

Please note that Liya needs AI chat with data to be enabled for your organization and a role that can search the archive. If it isn't enabled, you won't see the AI icon.

Open Liya from an email or conversation

1. Go to the Search section.
2. Search for an email or social media message, and click a result to open it.
3. Click the AI icon in the toolbar above the email or conversation.

The Liya panel opens on the right. Liya answers based on the item you opened, so you don't need to pick mailboxes or accounts.

Ask about the item

1. Click Summarize for a quick overview of the email or conversation.
2. To ask your own question, type it in the Type a message field.
3. Press Enter or click the send button.

Under each answer, you can rate it with the thumbs up or thumbs down icon, or click the copy icon to copy it.

Please note that AI-generated content may be inaccurate. Double-check Liya's answers and don't include sensitive information in your questions.

Chat with an attachment

Text-based attachments, such as PDF, Word, Excel and text files, have their own AI icon next to the file name.

1. Click the AI icon next to the attachment.
2. Click Summarize or type your question about the file.

If an email has several attachments, click the AI icon next to Attachments. In the Select attachments to chat with Liya window, select the files and click Open Chat.

The AI icon isn't available for images, audio or video files, or for older attachments.

Manage your chats

1. Click All chats at the top of the panel to see your earlier chats about this item. Each one is named after its first question.
2. Click a chat to continue it, or use the Search field to find one.
3. To rename or delete a chat, click the edit icon next to it. Type a new name, or click the trash icon to delete it.
4. To start over, click + to open a new chat.

To close Liya, click X or press Esc. To ask questions across all your archived data, use the Ask AI button instead. See How to Use Liya, Jatheon's Chat Assistant.
