How to Manage WhatsApp Archived Data

Once a user is enrolled in WhatsApp archiving, their phone number will be available for selection in the Social Media Search tab under the Choose Account(s) dropdown.

You can select one, multiple, or all archived WhatsApp users. The full name and phone number (displayed in brackets) will always be visible for reference.

Once users are selected, you can proceed to choose the specific type.

  • WhatsApp Message
  • WhatsApp Photo
  • WhatsApp Video
  • WhatsApp Audio
  • WhatsApp Document

You can choose one, more, or all types.

In the next dropdown, you can choose which field to use for search:

  • From
  • To
  • Chat Name
  • Message Content
  • Tags
  • Notes
  • Status

All listed fields include the standard options for the next dropdown, consistent with other search types. The only exception is the Status field, which offers two unique options:

  • Is Modified – Displays only messages that have been edited.
  • Is Deleted – Displays only messages that have been removed.

Selecting either option will filter the search results accordingly.

Once the search is performed, you will be presented with the Search Results:

Once you click on a single search result, the entire thread will be presented on the right.
