The Restore feature allows authorized users to restore one or more archived email messages back to their original mailbox. Restored messages are delivered as attached .eml files, preserving the original email content.
Note: The Restore option is available only to users with the appropriate permissions.
Restore Archived Emails
- Run a search to locate the email or emails you want to restore.
- Select one or more messages using the checkboxes next to each message.
- Click Restore from the toolbar.
- When prompted, confirm that you want to restore the selected messages to their original mailbox.
- Wait for the restore operation to complete.
- Once the process finishes successfully, the restored messages will appear in the original mailbox as attached .eml files.
Important: Restored messages are returned to the original mailbox as attached .eml files rather than as native mailbox items.
