How to Create and Apply Legal Hold Tags in cCore
Legal Hold tags allow users to identify, organize, and retain messages for legal, compliance, or investigative purposes. This article explains how to create a Legal Hold tag and apply it to messages in cCore.

Step 1: Open the Legal Hold Section
Navigate to Legal Hold from the left navigation menu.
Step 2: Create a New Legal Hold Tag
Click New Legal Hold Tag. Enter the tag name and optionally provide a description, color, and retention settings.
Click Save Changes to create the tag.
Step 3: Search for Messages
Navigate to the Search page and perform a search to locate the messages you want to tag.
Step 4: Select Messages
Select one or more messages by checking the checkbox next to each item.
Step 5: Apply a Tag
Click Apply Tag from the toolbar.
Step 6: Select the Legal Hold Tag
In the Apply a Tag window, select the Legal Hold tag you want to apply.
Step 7: Choose the Tagging Scope
Choose whether the tag should be applied to selected messages, the current page, or all search results.
Step 8: Confirm Tag Application
Once the tag is applied, a confirmation message appears and the selected messages display the assigned Legal Hold tag.
Viewing Tagged Messages
Open the Legal Hold section at any time to view all configured tags. The list displays the tag name, color, creation date, retention period, and the number of tagged emails. Click the value under Tagged Emails to review all messages associated with a specific tag.
Additional Message Actions
Additional message actions are available from the More menu.
Users can also add notes to messages for documentation and collaboration purposes.
