As a user with the Advanced Social Search permission, you can open an archived X (formerly Twitter) post or direct message to see its full text, media, replies and any earlier versions.

Open an X post

1. Go to the Search section and click the Social tab.
2. Click Choose Account(s) and select your profile under X Profiles.
3. Keep All Types, or select Twitter Tweet, Twitter Retweet, Twitter Reply or Twitter Message under X Types.

4. Set the date Range and your search criteria, and click Search.

Each result shows the X icon, the profile name, the type (Tweet, Reply, Retweet or Message) and the start of the text.

5. Click a result to open it on the right.

What the post view shows

At the top, the header shows the type, for example TWITTER TWEET or TWITTER REPLY, followed by the profile name and the date and time. Click the date to open the post on X.

Below the header, you'll see:

• the text. Click Show more to read all of it.
• any photos, videos, quoted posts and polls. Click a photo to view it larger. Videos can also have a Transcription.
• for a tweet, its replies. Click LOAD PREVIOUS REPLIES or LOAD MORE REPLIES to see more. If there are none, you'll see There are no replies for this post.

When you open a reply, it's shown under the tweet it replies to.

When you open a direct message, the whole conversation is shown, and the message you selected is highlighted.

Likes, retweet counts and quote counts aren't shown. From the toolbar above the post, you can Export it, Apply Tag, Add Note or Add to Case, depending on your permissions. On a smaller screen, some actions are under More.

Edited and deleted posts

When a post was edited, it's marked Edited. Click Edited to choose a version and see what changed. The current version is marked (Latest).

When a post was deleted on X, it stays in the archive and is marked DELETED. The list of versions shows when it was deleted.
