As an Account Admin, or a user with the Manage company settings permission, you can choose where a connector account's archived data goes when you add the account. You can keep it in Jatheon Cloud, send a copy to Amazon S3 or by email (SMTP), or both, for example when the data also needs to reach an existing third-party system.
Please note that you choose this for social media, collaboration, mobile and Claude AI connectors, such as Facebook, X, Slack, Zoom, Android SMS, WhatsApp and iMessage. File storage connectors (Google Drive, OneDrive, SharePoint), Website, Bloomberg and email connectors always keep their data in Jatheon Cloud.
Choose where the data is saved
- Click your initials in the top right corner and select Company Settings.
- Open the Connectors tab.
- Point to the connector's card and click +.
- Select the admin for the account and click Continue.
- In the Data will be saved window, turn on where the data should go:
- On Jatheon — keep the data in your Jatheon Cloud archive. It's on by default.
- Send via S3 — send the data to an Amazon S3 bucket.
- Send via SMTP — forward the data by email.
- Fill in the settings for S3 or SMTP, described below.
- Click Save Changes.
You can use On Jatheon together with S3 or SMTP, but not S3 and SMTP together. If you turn off On Jatheon, the account's data isn't archived in Jatheon Cloud.
For social media and collaboration connectors, the admin you selected then gets an email to finish connecting the account. You'll see a confirmation message: Setup email successfully sent.
Amazon S3 settings
When Send via S3 is on, fill in all fields:
- Label — a name for this OUT connector
- Region — the bucket's AWS region
- Bucket Name
- Access Key and Secret Key — the credentials Jatheon Cloud uses to write to the bucket
SMTP settings
When Send via SMTP is on, fill in:
- Label — a name for this OUT connector
- Forward Emails — the address to send the data to. To use more than one, separate them with commas.
If your organization already has an S3 or SMTP OUT connector, you can select it from Existing OUT Connectors to fill in the fields. Check that On Jatheon is still on if you also want to keep the data in Jatheon Cloud.
See where an account's data goes
On the Connectors tab, click a connector's card. The Outbound column of its accounts table shows where each account's data is saved: Jatheon, Amazon S3 or SMTP. Point to an icon to see its name.
Please note that you can't change an account's OUT settings after saving. To change them, contact Jatheon Support.
