Why Is My Migration Task Not Progressing?
Possible causes:
- The source (Microsoft 365) temporarily stopped responding to API requests.
- The task is waiting in the global import queue.
Resolution:
- Wait and monitor for up to 24 hours; many tasks resume without action.
- If no progress, reset the task:
Company settings → Data Transfer → Microsoft 365 → Tasks → Actions (…) → Reset.
Then start the task again. - If the issue persists after resetting, contact Support with the task name and latest status.
What Does the “QUEUED” Status Mean?
- The task is accepted and waiting for a free import instance.
- During peak times, moving to “PROCESSING” may take a few hours.
- If a task remains in “QUEUED” too long, you may reset and restart it.
- For extended delays or multiple queued tasks, contact Support.
Why Does “Ingest Selected Files” Not Start?
These requests use the same global queue as migrations.
- Submit the request once and monitor status.
- Allow for queue time during peak load (up to several hours).
- If no movement after a reasonable period, use Reset and retry.
- If delays persist, contact Support to confirm capacity and health.
How to Reset or Restart a Migration Task
- Go to Company settings.
- Open Data Transfer → Microsoft 365.
- In Tasks, locate the migration.
- Click Actions (…) → Reset.
- Start the task again.
Note: Reset clears the current status and allows a clean restart.
