You can configure Exchange 2010 to send a copy of each message to Jatheon Cloud. It's a two-step process: first you create an SMTP contact so Exchange knows where to send journaled messages, and then you configure journaling, the mechanism Microsoft uses to send a copy of each message from Exchange to Jatheon's cloud platform.
Create an SMTP contact
- Open your Exchange Management Console.
- Go to Recipient Configuration.
- Create a new contact under your mail contacts, for example JatheonTest.
- Set the external email address to the journaling email address provided by Jatheon.
Create the journaling rule
- In the Exchange Management Console, find Hub Transport under Organization Configuration.
- Choose the Journaling tab and right-click it to create a new journaling rule.
- Name the rule (for example, Jatheon).
- Select the contact you created in the first step (send journal reports to email address).
- Leave the mail recipient blank.
- Make sure the rule is set to enabled.
This is a global rule, which means a copy of every message that comes in or out of Exchange is sent to Jatheon Cloud.
