If 2FA is enabled for your organization, you can set it up the first time you log into Jatheon Cloud. After that, you enter a 6-digit code from an authentication app every time you log in.
Scan the QR code
You'll do this only when setting up 2FA for the first time.
- Log into the Jatheon Cloud platform with your credentials (email and password).
- Scan the QR code shown on the page with an authentication app. We use Google Authenticator, but you can use any other similar app.
- Enter the 6-digit code in the designated field.
- Click Continue.
If you have trouble scanning the QR code, you can use the text code instead:
- Click the enter this text link.
- Enter the 16-digit code in the authentication app to obtain the 6-digit code.
- Enter the 6-digit code on this page.
Save your recovery codes
Once you've scanned the QR code, you'll see a screen listing all your recovery codes. You can use these if you can't enter the 6-digit code for any reason.
- Click the Download Recovery Codes link to download the codes. We strongly suggest that you do this.
Please note that you won't be able to obtain the recovery codes again.
Once you've saved the recovery codes, the 2FA setup process is complete. From then on, you'll need to enter a 6-digit code generated by the authentication app every time you log in.
Log in with a recovery code
If you can't enter the 6-digit code for any reason, you can still log in with one of your recovery codes. Each recovery code can only be used once.
- Click the Enter Recovery Code link. A window with a field for the 16-digit recovery code opens.
- Enter the code.
- Click Continue. You'll be logged in.
Please note that you'll need to enter the 2FA 6-digit code every time you log in unless the admin disables 2FA for your organization.
