You can change the existing password for the default IPMI tool UI user. IPMI is a remote hardware management system that operates independently of the operating system. When assigned an IP address, it lets us diagnose and recover appliances even if the operating system on the appliance has hung or the appliance is powered down.

Change the default IPMI user password

  1. Type the IP address of the IPMI tool in the URL section of your browser to open the IPMI UI.
  2. Log in with the default credentials provided by Jatheon Support during the initial setup.
  3. Under the Configuration tab, find the Users section.
  4. Select the user.
  5. Click the Modify tab.
