How is archiving with Jatheon Archiving Suite different from backup and why is backing up my data not enough?

The main purpose of backup is to enable users to restore files after disk failure or server problems. Since files remain alterable, backup can’t meet the necessary ediscovery and regulatory requirements. In data archiving for businesses, data is stored in a write-once-read-many (WORM) format, which protects data from any deletion, alteration and tampering with message content and metadata.
