How to Review User Activity Using the Audit Log in cCore

Role: Administrator, Compliance Officer
The Audit Log provides a record of activities performed within cCore. Authorized users can review audit records to track system activity, investigate user actions, and verify changes made within the platform.
The Audit Log is available to users assigned the Administrator or Compliance Officer role. Access can also be granted to custom roles by assigning the appropriate Audit Log permissions.
Audit records include information such as:
- User activity
- Search operations
- Message access
- Administrative actions
- System events
The Audit Log can be filtered and exported for reporting, auditing, or investigation purposes.
Step 1: Open the Audit Section
Navigate to Audit from the left navigation menu. The Audit page allows you to search and review activity records generated within cCore.
Step 2: Configure Audit Filters
Use the available filters to narrow down the audit records you want to review. You can filter by user, action type, date range, or search for a specific object, term, or activity.
- Users – Filter activities performed by specific users.
- Actions – Filter by activity type.
- Date Range – Select the period you want to investigate.
- Filter Results – Search for a specific object, term, or activity.
Once the desired criteria are selected, click Search.
Step 3: Review Audit Results
After you perform a search, matching audit entries are displayed in the results table. Each entry includes information such as the date and time, user, action performed, object or search term, and available actions.
Step 4: View Detailed Audit Information
Click the View icon in the Actions column to review additional details about a specific audit event.
Step 5: Review Audit Event Details
The detailed audit view provides additional information about the selected event, allowing administrators and compliance officers to better understand what activity was performed within the system.
Step 6: Export Audit Records
To save audit records outside of cCore, click Export. Exported audit records can be used for compliance reporting, internal audits, security investigations, and record keeping.
