How to Connect and Manage OneDrive in Jatheon Cloud
This guide explains how to connect and manage OneDrive archiving in Jatheon Cloud, including collecting required information, creating the connector, confirming permissions, testing, and importing data.
Prerequisites
- You are logged in as an MSP Admin or Account Admin in Jatheon Cloud.
- You have access to the customer’s Microsoft Entra Global Administrator to obtain their email address and Tenant ID.
Step 1: Collect Required Information
Contact the customer’s Microsoft Entra Global Administrator and request:
- Email address (username) for Microsoft Entra Workspace (password is not required).
- Tenant ID. Official how-to: How to find your Tenant ID – Microsoft Entra
Step 2: Create the Matching User in Jatheon Cloud
In Jatheon Cloud, create a new user with the role Account Admin, using the Global Administrator’s email address (it must match the one provided in Step 1).
Step 3: Navigate to OneDrive Connector
Go to Company Settings → Connectors and select OneDrive.
Step 4: Create a New OneDrive Connection
Click + Create New. A pop-up window will appear requiring the following fields:
- Select OneDrive Admin – choose the Global Administrator from the existing users.
- Enter Customer ID – enter the provided Tenant ID.
- Workspace Name – enter the Workspace name.
- Select Admin – confirm the selected administrator.
Step 5: Email Confirmation & Permissions
The Microsoft Entra Global Administrator will automatically receive an email with a confirmation link. They must open the email, click the confirmation button, and approve the required permissions in the Microsoft Entra portal. After confirmation, the connection becomes ready for testing and import.
Step 6: Test the Connection
Use the Test action to verify that the OneDrive connection is properly configured. The test will confirm a successful connection or display an error if something needs attention.
Step 7: Import Data
Click Import to start importing data from OneDrive. After the import completes, the Date Imported and Storage (GB) columns will display the import details.
