How to Connect and Archive a YouTube Channel in Jatheon Cloud

This guide explains how to connect a YouTube channel to Jatheon Cloud for archiving. Only the Organization Admin or Jatheon Support can initiate the connection by selecting the YouTube Admin and sending the approval request.

Step 1: Add the YouTube Connector

Go to Connectors > YouTube and click the + icon. Enter the email address of the YouTube channel Admin.

YouTube connector selection
Select the YouTube connector and add the Admin email.

Step 2: Confirm Admin and Channel Type

Select the YouTube Admin from your user list and pick the channel type (Brand / Individual).

Selecting YouTube Admin user
Select the Admin and confirm the YouTube channel type.

Step 3: Admin Receives the Invitation Email

The Admin will receive an email titled Welcome to Jatheon Cloud! They must click Connect YouTube Account to sign in and approve the Jatheon Cloud App.

Google will ask the Admin to approve the required permissions. The Admin must click Allow to complete the setup.

Step 4: YouTube Archiving Starts Automatically

Approve the requested permissions to allow Jatheon Cloud to archive your YouTube content.

Once connected, archiving begins automatically. To connect additional channels in the future, repeat the same steps.

Note - if you already tried connecting your YT account and the request failed, before you send another YT connection request to the Admin email remove any lingering access permissions before re-attempting to make a connector:

Google Account settings -> Security & sign-in -> Your connections to third-party apps & services -> See all connections -> Jatheon Archiver -> Delete all connections...

Note: make sure you are cleaning old requests under brand name account, not the individual account if you have more YT channels.
