Configuring Exchange 2010 to work with Jatheon Cloud is a two-step process.
The first thing that you'll need to do is create an SMTP contact so that Exchange knows where to send the journaled messages.
The second thing that needs to be configured is journaling, the mechanism Microsoft uses to send a copy of each message from Exchange over to the Jatheon's cloud platform.
You'll start by opening your Exchange Management Console. Go to Recipient Configuration and Create a New Contact under your mail contacts. Let's call it JatheonTest. Here, you'll need to set the external email address – this is the journaling email address provided by Jatheon.
The next step is the configuration of journaling. Go to Exchange Management Console and find Hub Transport under Organization Configuration.
Choose the Journaling tab and right-click it to create a new journaling rule. Then name the rule (Jatheon) and then select the contact that we created in the first step (send journal reports to email address).
This will be a global rule, which means that the copy of every message that comes in or out of Exchange will be sent over to Jatheon Cloud. Leave the mail recipient blank and make sure that the rule is set to enabled.
