How to Apply and Remove a Legal Hold Tag from a Single Email

If you'd like to apply a Legal Hold tag to a single email, please follow these steps:

  1. Log into your Jatheon Cloud account
  2. Head over to the Search section and perform a search
  3. Once you get search results, select a specific email by clicking on it. The selected email will then open on the right.
  4. Select the Apply Tag option from the Action bar. 


A pop-up window will open, where you'll be presented with the list of tags to apply. You can choose one among them or, in case such a tag doesn't exist, there is an option to create a new one straight from there.

To do so, click "Create [Tag_Name] tag". This will take you to another pop-up window where you can choose the tag color and tag type. You'll also be able to create your Personal Tags from there. 

Once you click the Apply button, you'll see a notification confirming that the tag was applied.  

In case you want to remove a Legal Hold Tag from a single email, you'll need to find the email in question first. Select it by clicking on it. The email will then open on the right.

You'll see the list of all the applied tags above the email content. Each Legal Hold Tag will have an X next to it. In case you want to remove a particular tag, just click the X icon and a confirmation message will appear asking you to confirm the tag removal.

Note that you will be able to remove only the tag that you have created, i.e. there will be no X icon next to the tag that was created by another Compliance Officer in your organization.

Once you confirm it, a notification will be presented confirming that the tag has been removed successfully. 

Note that Legal Hold Tags are easily recognizable, as they come with a specific icon (represented by scales) before the actual tag name.
